Stony Point, New York (2013)

Hosted By: Stony Point Center

Tanenbaum brought together 14 Peacemakers in Action across the globe for a week of training, collaboration and exchange at the peaceful Stony Point Center. Over the course of that week, we heard first-hand stories how Tanenbaum’s support of the Peacemakers and their Network causes powerful and, sometimes, unanticipated results. During the retreat, the Peacemakers exchanged updates about the Peacemakers in Action Network, specifically two successful Peacemaker Network interventions: one in Honduras and one in South Africa. The Peacemakers discussed different mediums for promoting peace education and encouraging faith communities to engage in social change programs. Finally, the Peacemakers created a plan for the Network’s future and its role in person-to-person peacebuilding.
