The Peacemaker Working Retreat: One Year Later

Dear Friends,

Last September, Tanenbaum hosted its eighth Peacemakers in Action Working Retreat at Rose Castle in the United Kingdom.

The Retreat convened religiously motivated peace activists from countries including Syria, El Salvador, Nigeria, and South Africa for a week of conflict transformation training with international experts from organizations like Wenger-Trayner and the Mary Hoch Center for Reconciliation.

Working Retreats are an opportunity for the Peacemakers to rest from their peacebuilding work, share conflict transformation strategies from their local communities, and reconnect with longtime friends.

Hear more from the Peacemakers themselves about the importance of holding spaces like the Working Retreat in this video.
