How can medical providers stay true to their personal moral or religious beliefs and also provide comprehensive care for their patients? Our updated FREE e-learning, Navigating Conscience Objections in Health Care, helps answer this question!
Conscience objections arise in health care when providers refuse to perform certain medical services due to deeply held personal moral or religious beliefs. An evolving set of conscience laws protects medical professionals in these situations. These laws have also been used to limit access to services such as reproductive and gender-affirming care.
Navigating Conscience Objections in Health Care helps health care providers navigate the complexities of conscience objections, with a special focus on LGBTQ+ patient care. In it, we introduce the I CARE Model, a thoughtful, non-judgmental strategy to balance health care providers’ rights to personal religious & moral beliefs with patients’ rights to dignified care.
