Reframing the December Dilemma

Dear Friends,

Does your company struggle to respectfully and proactively navigate the confluence of holidays in December? Many religious traditions observe holidays at the end of the year, and it can be a challenge to recognize each holiday accurately and fairly. At Tanenbaum, we like to reframe this “December Dilemma” as an opportunity to learn more about other traditions, to embrace our differences, and to build community in the workplace.

You can learn more about creating opportunities for inclusion during the December holiday season in our December Dilemma Fact Sheet. Learn how to handle decorations, holiday greetings, time off, and other scheduling issues. The fact sheet helps address issues in businesses, schools, healthcare, and other organizations as well.

For more information on some of the specific holidays during the end of this year’s calendar, refer to our fact sheets on Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa.

More resources can be found on Tanenbaum’s Workplace Resources page.

In unity,

Rev. Mark Fowler, CEO, Tanenbaum, and the Workplace Team
