April 7 is World Health Day, a time to promote global health awareness. In doing so, we must recognize that social and environmental circumstances are linked to our health.
LGBTQ patients face numerous barriers to accessing safe and appropriate health care at secular and faith-based hospitals. In certain institutions, faith affiliated mandates can limit treatments and procedures available to patients, which often disproportionately impacts the LGBTQ community. Yet, many of these institutions are working to serve this population
