Rev. Mark Fowler Featured on the Queer Theology Podcast

We’re proud to share that Tanenbaum’s CEO, Rev. Mark Fowler, was recently featured on the Queer Theology Podcast in a wide-ranging conversation about interfaith work, spirituality, identity, and building respect across differences.

In the episode, Rev. Fowler reflects on his personal journey and what interfaith work looks like in practice today. He draws a powerful distinction between interfaith experiences and interfaith work:

“In deeper practices, it is communities that consciously and actively come together to know one another as neighbors and to be able to be of support to one another in times of trouble… you are no longer just like a representative of your faith. You are a person that I know, a member of my extended family and community.”

Rev. Fowler also spoke about how his leadership at Tanenbaum is shaped by both his lived experiences and his belief in the power of dialogue to combat prejudice and build connection across religion and belief.

The conversation highlights Tanenbaum’s mission to promote justice and respect for difference in workplaces, schools, health care settings, and in conflict zones around the world.
