Conscientious Refusals: Religiously-motivated conscientious refusals to provide services in the workplace have increasingly become a topic for debate. This fact sheet provides an overview of the types of conscientious refusals that are most frequently emerging in different workplaces (i.e., health care, government, religious and a range of businesses) as well as better practices for both employers and employees who are looking to address their own or others’ conscientious refusals.
