New York, NY, September 12, 2024: The Tanenbaum | Center for Interreligious Understanding will host its eighth Peacemakers in Action Working Retreat at Rose Castle in the United Kingdom, September 18–24.
The Retreat convenes religiously motivated peace activists from countries including Syria, El Salvador, Nigeria, and South Africa for a week of conflict transformation training with international experts from organizations like Wenger-Trayner and Mary Hoch Center for Reconciliation.
“Because of the Retreats, I’m strengthened to do my work as a Peacemaker and not feel alone or isolated,” shared Peacemaker, Bill Lowrey. “The Retreats transform us through face-to-face time to understand our religious differences, gain wisdom from one another, and collaborate internationally in our work for peace. The Working Retreat is our central element for transformation.”
The Retreat will be followed by an invitation only roundtable discussion in London hosted by Chatham House.
