Join Tanenbaum’s Upcoming Screening

This International Women’s Day we’re honored to invite you to a free, in-person screening of the documentary film, Long Line of Ladies, on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, 6-8pm ET. The event, generously hosted by our friends at Google, will bring us together to witness the power of ceremony, the sacredness of womanhood, and the intimate journey of reclaiming a community’s history. Please find more details at the registration link here.

Long Line of Ladies shares the story of an Indigenous girl and her community as they prepare for her Ihuk, also known as the Flower Dance, the once-dormant, coming-of-age ceremony of the Karuk tribe of Northern California.

Following the screening, you’ll hear from the Co-Director herself, Shaandiin Tome, and cast member(s) of the film. Together, we’ll learn about the empowering history of the Flower Dance and the importance of storytelling to build respect for the differences among us.

You won’t want to miss it. Please RSVP at the link here and share the event with your community.

We hope to see you there!
