Announcing Gala Honoree, Azza Karam!

Dear Tanenbaum Community,

Our 2025 Gala: Peace Made Possible is approaching on Thursday, October 23rd at the Edison Ballroom in New York City, and I’m thrilled to announce one of the evening’s honorees.

We are delighted to have Dr. Azza Karam accept the Marc H. Tanenbaum Award for the Advancement of Interreligious Understanding. This award celebrates individuals who dedicate their work to fostering respect across religious difference, and there is no better recipient for such an honor than Dr. Karam.

Dr. Karam serves as the Founding President and CEO of Lead-Integrity, a global consultancy firm dedicated to serving the common good through the leadership, competence, and integrity of women professionals inspired by their faiths. She serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of International Alert, the Temple of Understanding, as well as the Royal Institute for Interfaith Studies in Amman, Jordan. She is also a member of the United Nations’ Secretary General High Level Advisory Board on Multilateralism.

With extensive experience leading programs in education, human rights, and peacebuilding initiatives around the globe, Dr. Karam has a tremendous history in the field of interfaith understanding. We are elated to celebrate her accomplishments at this year’s Gala, and I hope to see you there.
