Building Classrooms that Respect Religious Difference
“As I have been moving forward in the [Network of Inclusive Educators], I am noticing that student conversations are becoming more authentic. My students are asking higher order thinking questions and are genuinely interested in learning about each other’s cultures and religions.”
- Angelica, 3rd Grade teacher
“There have been so many benefits to being part of the National Teacher Advisory Board. First, it’s been great to connect with diverse teachers nationwide. The dialogue during our monthly meetings has been helpful and formative for me as an educator. The collaboration on curriculum and pedagogy has also been beneficial as we share best practices in the classroom. And finally, it’s just awesome to listen to passionate teachers because it helps feed my own passion for education.”
- Tim, K-12 Social Studies Instructional Specialist
- How do we reach students of all backgrounds?
- How can we help students learn from each other’s cultures and religions?
