“Christian Terrorism”: Part of the New Lexicon?

Last week, Tanenbaum CEO Joyce Dubensky spoke with the Associated Press's Jesse Washington, who was writing a piece on the term "Christian Terrorist" as applied to the suspect in July's Norway tragedy.

His thought-provoking piece came out today – you can read it here. Asks Washington, "When the "enemy" is different, an outsider, it's easier to draw quick conclusions, to develop stereotypes. It's simply human nature: There is "us," and there is "them." But what happens when the enemy looks like us — from the same tradition and belief system?"

"Christian Terrorism" – is it a moniker that will stick? Will it lead to stereptyping of Christians? If you are a Christian, how does it make you feel? Will it help people to think twice before generalizing about Muslims?

We'd love to hear your thoughts – leave us a comment!
