International Nurses Day: Respecting Difference Across the Globe

May 12 is International Nurses Day, a day to honor nurses’ commitment to patient care and well-being.

Nurses are on the front lines of patient safety and are often the first providers with whom patients interface. They work across cultures and beliefs to support patient goal attainment and improve not only physical, but spiritual health as well.

To support all patients, nurses must address how religion, spirituality, and belief can become salient in medical decision making. Tanenbaum’s Nursing Curricula provides practical information and relevant case studies to respectfully engage with religiously diverse patient populations.

We hope you have a happy and healthy International Nurses Day!
