Summer Celebration and Solemn Commemoration

As summer begins, multiple faiths celebrate and remember religious traditions and past accomplishments.  

Eid al-Adha is a Muslim holiday celebrated all over the world with prayer, mosque services, Qur’an reading, and quality time with family and friends. It will take place this year from sundown on June 28th to sundown on June 29th. Learn more about this holiday from our Eid al-Adha Fact Sheet.

Pioneer Day, an official holiday in the State of Utah, commemorates the settling of Utah by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints fleeing religious persecution in Missouri and Illinois.
