The NYC Department of Education has designated February 11-15 as Respect for All Week. First instituted in 2010, the goal of Respect for All Week is to strengthen existing diversity programs in schools while also creating new initiatives to prevent bias-based harassment, intimidation and bullying by promoting respect for diversity.
At Tanenbaum, we promote respect for religious diversity because religion is often overlooked in conversations about multiculturalism. Tanenbaum has created a special Respect for All page on our website that highlights Tanenbaum resources for educators. Tananbaum's materials are appropriate for all grade levels and subject areas and perfect for teachers who want to include religious diversity in their lessons during Respect for All Week–throughout the year.
