Dear Friends,
Do you work at a faith-based hospital or health care facility?
If so, we would greatly appreciate your input for our survey gathering data about LGBTQ inclusive hospital policies and practices.
In 2019, Tanenbaum’s Health Care Program published a paper entitled, “Faith-Based Health Care and the LGBTQ Community: Opportunities and Barriers for Equitable Care,” which explored the current efforts and practices religiously affiliated hospitals engage in to create more inclusive environments for LGBTQ patients. Using this data, we then issued recommendations and best practices that we determined were the most impactful and effective. Since 2019 however, our socio-political climate has changed dramatically, and we are interested in learning about how facilities are addressing current issues and challenges. As a follow up to our original paper, we are now gathering information from those who work for or are affiliated with faith-based hospitals and/or health care facilities to get a better understanding of how effective certain practices have been, what challenges they have encouraged, and how they have dealt with those challenges.
Please find our brief survey here and feel free to share with anyone you think may fit the criteria.
Thank you for your time!
The Tanenbaum Health Care Team
