This year’s Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity was an outstanding success! The 3-day forum, which took place in Minneapolis, MN featured three keynotes from high-profile global leaders, 64 sessions, a career fair, a two-day resource expo, and extensive networking opportunities. The Forum provides substantial content with a very collegial environment for workplace professionals to continue developing their capacity to address complex issues like religion.
Mark Fowler, Tanenbaum’s Director of Programs, presented the Professional Development Institute (PDI) “Digging Deeper: Religious Diversity and the 10 Bias Danger Signs.” The PDI sessions are 3 ½ hours in length, and designed to give participants the time they need to explore diversity strategies and tactics. Ten attendees discussed important trends that are directly affecting religion in the workplace, and worked in groups to analyze complex case studies addressing issues like devotion, employee networks, and holidays.
Tanenbaum also participated in the forum’s 2-day resource expo, where attendees were offered the opportunity to win access to Tanenbaum’s online resource, Religion at Work, and learn more about Tanenbaum’s mission and services.
As always, Tanenbaum was delighted to participate and we’re already looking forward to 2013! The theme of next year’s forum will be “Everyone is a Diversity and Inclusion Leader” so don’t miss out!
